  • Usually welding of similar steels, especially for welding 19% chromium – 9% nickel austenitic stainless steels such as 304L, 308L as well as stabilized grades 321 and 347.

  • Low carbon content (0.03 percent maximum) increase weld metal resistance to intergranular corrosion.

  • Easily use in welding of kitchen, furnace, common applications include stainless steel fabrication of dairy, food or restaurant equipment, chemical tanks and general purpose applications where corrosion conditions are only a moderate concern, suitable for cryogenic applications.

  • Straight length of 36 inch packaged in a PVC tube (Random Color).

Description

Details

Same as ER308. The nominal composition (wt.-%) of this classification is 21 Cr, 10 Ni. Commercial specifications for filler and base metals vary in the minimum alloy requirements; consequently, the names 18-8, 19-9, and 2010 are often associated with filler metals of this classification. This classification is most often used to weld base metals of similar composition, in particular, Type 304. ER308L.

This classification is the same as ER308, except for the carbon content. Low carbon (0.03 percent maximum) in this filler metal reduces the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation. This increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion without the use of stabilizers such as niobium or titanium. Strength of this low-carbon alloy, however, is less than that of the niobiumstabilized alloys or Type 308H at elevated temperatures.

Steel seal of AWS Classification "ER308L" , the letter stamp at the end of the rod, but only the size above (and include) 1/16".

Note: For saving paper and better protect the environment, we do not pack any user guide made by paper into the pvc tube. As another choise, you can download the PDF or JPG version of the user guide and the MSDS file from the web link.
